The journal is intended to provide academic forums for researchers who are interested in the discussion of current and future issues on education and teacher training, especially elementary education. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication. Each author is solely responsible for the content of the published articles. The journal was first published in April 2012 and published every April and October. Starting in 2020 published every February, April, June, August, October, and December. The journal is open to authors around the world regardless of nationality.

Primary: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar  is published by Laboratorium Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau (Laboratory of Elementary Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Riau Pekanbaru, Indonesia). The journal has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Republic of Indonesia Number 158/E/KPT/2021 (Rank 3), starting from Volume 10 Number 4 of 2021 to Volume 15 Number 3 of 2026.

This disruption was due to a cyberattack involving online gambling malware, which has affected the operational stability of our system.
